Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at the George Hotel & Brasserie in Cranbrook felt like a delightful escape into a world where comfort and charm intertwine seamlessly. The moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with an unparalleled warmth from the staff, whose genuine passion for hospitality was palpable. Our four-poster bed room was a true highlight; the rustic elegance perfectly complemented the traditional charm of this historic manor house. Breakfast became an event we looked forward to each morning, featuring a sumptuous buffet of pastries alongside classics like eggs Florentine on a bagel and a full English breakfast that left us well-sated for our adventures. Speaking of adventures, the hotel's location is ideal for exploring the surrounding treasures like Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Bewl Water, with picturesque walks keeping us connected to nature. A dinner at their brasserie proved enchanting; the food was sophisticated yet comforting, merging seasonal ingredients into dishes that tantalized our taste buds. Whether you're a lover of fine dining or casual pub fare, the George offers something for everyone.
